What I'm doing
Work
I'm a staff software engineer at Zefr, working across the full stack. My focus is our agents and the stack around them: the front ends, APIs and MCP servers they run on, and the agents themselves.
Most of my week goes to building, design reviews, and unblocking the people around me. The customers are still people. The agents are how we do more for them, and that only holds if every layer is fast and considered.
Family
Evenings and weekends belong to my family. That time is the one thing on my calendar I do not move.
It is also where the week gets its proportion. Nothing I ship matters more than being there for it.
Building
This site, mostly in the evenings, as an excuse to sweat every detail on something of my own.
A few small experiments that never grow past a single page, which is usually the point of them.
Reading
A slow rotation of engineering essays and one novel I keep starting over.
I take notes in the margins. Writing them down is what makes them stick.
Running
Easy miles around San Diego, most mornings.
No race on the calendar. I'm enjoying not training for anything.
